JOB TITLE:  Building Materials Associate

 

JOB LOCATION: Grand Junction, Colorado (On-Site and In-Person)

 

REPORTING TO:  Building Materials Location Manager

HOURLY: $16.00

                                                                                                                 

FUNCTION:  The Building Materials Associate provides effective administrative support to the site location, serves as first contact with vendors and customers, and offers consultation to existing clientele.

 

KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Visualizes, fulfils, and implements the company vision and core values.
  • Manages incoming calls and information requests in a professional, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Assists in managing operational and sales activities.
  • Greets and assesses customer needs to direct customer traffic appropriately.
  • Engages customers, vendors and business associates in a friendly and professional manner, providing input, direction, and support.
  • Efficiently processes basic customer orders/quotes and other transactions.
  • Assists customers in problem resolution.
  • Develops a clear understanding of customer needs and provides relevant design and project support.
  • Organizes and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Performs various administrative tasks such maintaining insurance licenses, generating reports, and preparing daily bank deposits.
  • Orders and maintains office supplies inventory.
  • Serves as a Safety Champion by adhering to all company safety policies and guidelines
  • Performs miscellaneous office and building management tasks.
  • Reviews, understands, and adheres to policies and procedures.
  • Performs all duties in compliance with safety requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) as well as strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Able to accurately assess customer project and design needs and provide proactive solutions.
  • Strong computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • High level of professionalism and personal responsibility.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Degree or background relevant to interior design/construction or a related field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sedentary work, requiring lifting up to 10lbs.
  • Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment.
  • Occasional exposure to outside elements.
