JOB TITLE: Building Materials Dispatcher
FUNCTION: The Building Materials Dispatcher oversees the timely and efficient delivery of Truss packages to Sunpro customers.
LOCATION: Lindon, UT
KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
- Schedule, supervise and manage all yard and delivery employees to achieve customer service excellence at all times.
- Oversee yard safety protocols to ensure all employees work safely and that safety hazards are mitigated immediately.
- Oversee and manage yard inventory to achieve organization, cleanliness, and optimum efficiencies.
- Perform dispatch duties to provide excellent customer delivery service, accurately and on time.
- Work with other departments (sales) to provide customers with deliveries that meet or exceed customer’s expectations.
- Ensure loads are built and staged one day prior to delivery.
- Participate with and oversee load building functions to meet delivery schedules and expectations as stated above.
- Manage labor expense in accordance to location budget and management expectations.
- Participate in employee hiring, terminating, orientation, and performance appraisal processes.
- Train yard employees to proper and efficient load building and delivery protocols.
- Attend and participate in location and corporate supervisory training sessions.
- Adhere to standards of conduct as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned by location management.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience operating a forklift, able to obtain certification.
- Current medical card and clean MVR required, Class A or B CDL preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Physical Work Requirements - Heavy: exerting up to 75 lbs of force regularly.
- Repetitive motion associated with operating equipment.
- Regular exposure to the elements.
- Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.
